MMA Rules and Weight Categories

Bouts and Duration
1 x 5 minute round
Fight decided by judges decision if there is no winning finish.
1 ref and 1 judge per mat, both views used to determine result.
The points will be done as a mini league. Three points for a win, one point for a
draw.
Fighters should fight a minimum of 2 fights unless an injury occurs.
(Each competor should have their own insurance, by signing a disclaimer stating
this each competitor is fully aware of this risk of competing in the league.)
Fighters equipment
* 4oz mma gloves
* groin guard
* gum shield
* shin protectors
* mma shorts
* knee and elbow pads (optional)
The fighter must be bare chested or with a suitable rash guard.
No Vaseline as there are no face shots.
Rules Standing:
* No head-shots at all!
* Knees, punches and kicks to body only!
* No elbows at all!
* Only safe takedowns, ie, no spiking or throwing opponent on his head!
* No groin strikes!
Ground:
* Ground and pound to the body only!
* No head-shots or elbows!
* If standing above grounded opponent, only kicks to the legs are allowed!
Submissions:
* No heel hooks or cranks of any kind!
* No small joint manipulation! (fingers, toes,etc.)
* No biting, hair pulling, head-butting, ear pulling, eye gouging or fish-hooking!
Weight Catagories:

ADULTS
cat
1. Bantam weight under 60kg
2. Featherweight 60kg to 65.5kg
3. Lightweight 65.5kg to 70kg
4. Welterweight 70kg to 77kg
5. Middleweight 77kg to 84kg
6. Light heavyweight 84kg to 93.2kg
7. Heavyweight 93kg+

CADETS 15-17 YEARS OLD

8. - 60kg
9. - 67kg
10. - 74kg
11. - 81kg
12. - 88kg
13. +88kg
